Terms and Conditions – The Rage (therage.nl)

1. Booking Conditions

• Acceptance of Terms: By booking a session with The Rage or entering the rage room, participants acknowledge and accept all terms and conditions stated herein.
• Age Requirement & Booking Validity:
  • Participants must be at least 18 years old, or at least 14 years old if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also a booked participant.
  • Bookings that do not meet this requirement may be canceled without a refund.
• Participant Responsibility & Comprehensive Liability Waiver:
  • Participation in activities at The Rage involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, property damage, and exposure to hazardous materials.
  • By participating, you expressly and voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with rage room activities.
  • You acknowledge that:
    • You are engaging in high-impact physical activity that involves smashing or destroying objects with blunt instruments.
    • Flying debris, sharp fragments, or impact tools may cause injury despite the use of protective equipment.
    • Emotional or psychological distress may occur due to the nature of the experience.
    • The presence of glass, electronics, liquids, and dust may cause allergic reactions, skin irritation, or respiratory complications.
    • Any injuries, whether minor or severe (e.g., cuts, bruises, sprains, eye injury, panic attacks), are solely your responsibility.
    • You waive the right to pursue any claim, legal or otherwise, against The Rage, its owners, employees, affiliates, insurers, landlords, or equipment suppliers, for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind incurred during or as a result of participation.
    • You are liable for your own behavior and the conduct of any minors you bring.
    • You understand that you will be required to wear safety equipment and follow all instructions; failure to do so voids any implied duty of care.
    • You accept full responsibility for the consequences of your participation, including medical costs or loss of income due to injury.
• Safety:
  • Participants receive safety gear and a briefing before their session.
  • The Rage is not liable for accidents, injuries, or fatalities.
  • You must follow all rules and staff instructions at all times.
• Liability Waiver Confirmation: Your booking constitutes a digital signature of this waiver, affirming that you:
  • Understand the risks involved.
  • Voluntarily assume all such risks.
  • Release The Rage and all associated parties from any claims arising out of your participation.
• Filming:
  • Sessions may be monitored or recorded for security and marketing.
  • Footage will not be used publicly without your consent unless anonymized.
• Mental Health & Medical Disclaimer:
  • Participants with PTSD, panic disorder, anxiety, heart conditions, epilepsy, or other medical issues should consult a physician before booking.
  • The Rage is not liable for mental health triggers, emotional distress, or physical reactions.
• Allergy & Sensory Disclaimer:
  • Materials used may emit dust, odors, or particles.
  • If you suffer from asthma, eczema, or similar sensitivities, you participate at your own risk.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• Refunds:
  • More than 72 hours before session: Full refund or free rescheduling.
  • Less than 72 hours before session: No refunds.
• Rescheduling Fees:
  • Up to 72 hours before session: Free.
  • Less than 72 hours before session: €35 rescheduling fee.
• Missed Appointments:
  • Late arrivals or failure to find the location do not qualify for a refund.
  • A €35 fee is required to reschedule.

3. During Your Visit

• Arrival Time: Arrive on time. Late arrivals may be denied entry without a refund.
• Refusal of Service:
  • The Rage reserves the right to deny entry due to intoxication, aggression, or non-compliance.
  • No refunds will be given in such cases.
• Damage to Property:
  • Damage beyond designated breakables will incur charges plus a €50 administration fee.

4. Safety Rules

All participants must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or 14+ with an accompanying adult participant.
• Wear provided masks, gloves, and safety gear at all times.
• Use smashing tools only within designated areas.
• Avoid damaging the room’s structure (walls, floors, fixtures).
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and others in the room.
• Refrain from using equipment in an unsafe or threatening manner.
• Report any issues or injuries to staff immediately.

5. Participant Liability

• Full Responsibility:
  • You are fully responsible for your own safety, behavior, and physical condition.
  • The Rage is not liable for any injuries or adverse effects.
• Mental & Physical Reactions:
  • You are expected to monitor your own state and stop the activity if feeling unwell.
  • Seek medical clearance beforehand if you are uncertain about your physical capacity.
• Environmental & Contact Risks:
  • Exposure to hazardous elements (glass, electronics, dust, etc.) may cause harm.
  • By entering, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

6. Dress Code & Safety Measures

• Footwear: Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes with thick soles. Open footwear is not allowed.
• Clothing: Wear clothing that may get dirty or stained.

7. Website Use and Copyright

• Purpose: The website provides service information and facilitates bookings.
• Copyright: All text, media, and branding are protected by copyright. Reproduction without attribution is prohibited.

8. Privacy Statement

• Data Collection: Personal data is collected for operational purposes only.
• Data Sharing: Information is not shared without explicit consent.
• Data Usage: Used solely for bookings, communication, and marketing opt-ins.
• Data Deletion: Email hello@therage.nl with subject “Unsubscribe.”
• Inquiries: Contact us with any privacy-related questions.

9. Cookie Policy

• Consent: Use of the website implies consent to cookie usage.
